I read a poker book about the different versions of the games one could play and strategy. It’s recommended to have 100x the big blind as a bankroll. 100 buy-in’s assuming you folded every hand before after seeing the flop and everyone checks instead of raises pre flop. In trading 2% 0f 10G represents only not even 50 potential lost trades before blowing your account. Things like spread, free margin and margin call level must be considered before opening trade lot. I think learning traders should trade smaller than recommended here. Perhaps risk attempt a pair like XAUUSD with .02 lot size and a take profit of 9.30 per trade. That’s 100% return on a 9.30 capital investment. It requires no more skill to use a small lot than a large one but one will give you experience while the other will scare the pants off you when a trade goes bad. Great video 🫵😎

What are your thoughts on backtesting, and then funding + trading on a micro lot? Reason being, when demo trading, the feeling of, "oh its just a game/not real" or some similar feeling creeps in, and you take it less seriously. But micro trading, you're actually wining/losing money (just a ridiculously small amount), so in effect, it forces you to get out of that, "oh this isn't real/just a game" mentality?

So once you convert the trial funds over to the phase acct, are you able to withdrawal THOSE funds after you pass the challenge?
